Terms of Use
Last updated: October 6, 2026
These terms govern use of the Origin3D LLC website. Origin3D LLC is based in Vancouver, Washington. By using the site, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please discontinue use. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information.
Product information and availability
The site presents Orbit hardware, Orbit Control software, and the Orbit3D protocol. Product images and specifications describe the Orbit design planned for launch. Our Kickstarter campaign will provide product photos, video, pricing, and delivery details so you can review them before pledging. We will correct any factual errors if needed. A product announcement or email signup does not place an order or reserve a product.
Kickstarter and purchases
This site does not currently accept orders or payment. Before backing an Origin3D project, review the campaign's reward details, delivery estimates, risks, refund information, and Kickstarter Terms of Use. Crowdfunding involves risks and is not the same as purchasing an in-stock retail product.
These website terms do not replace our obligations as a project creator, commitments made in the campaign, or your rights under applicable consumer law. If direct sales become available here, applicable purchase, shipping, return, and warranty terms will be provided before checkout.
Product warranty
Orbit is covered by our three-year limited hardware warranty, starting when you receive it, including Kickstarter rewards. See the warranty page for coverage, remedies, and how to contact us for support.
Permitted use
You may use the site for lawful purposes and share links to its public pages. Do not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the service, distribute malware, impersonate another person, send spam, or infringe others' rights. Do not submit information you are not authorized to share. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the site or respond to misuse.
Intellectual property and software
Unless otherwise identified, the site's content, branding, photographs, illustrations, and designs belong to Origin3D or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These terms do not grant a license to reproduce or commercially exploit those materials beyond permissions provided by law or by us in writing. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners; mentioning them does not imply endorsement.
Software, SDKs, and open-source projects are governed by the licenses supplied with them. Those licenses, including open-source rights, take precedence over these website terms for the relevant software. A download marked coming soon is not yet available. Check published system requirements and release notes before installing a release.
Messages and external services
You retain ownership of messages and attachments you send us. We use them to respond to your questions, provide support, and follow up on your request.
Links and embedded services are provided for convenience. We do not control third-party websites or their availability, policies, or security. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms.
Website availability and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the website and its informational content are provided as available, without warranties of uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or fitness for a particular purpose. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the site. This provision concerns the website, not a separate product warranty or our campaign obligations.
To the extent permitted by law, Origin3D LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use the website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or any liability or statutory consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by Washington State law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory protections of another jurisdiction apply. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. We may revise these terms prospectively by posting an updated version and revision date, with additional notice where required.
